After 20 years in the fast-paced world of corporate retail fashion, from buying to product development, I eventually traded my heels for the wild, wonderful life of a stay-at-home mom. But as my kids grew more independent, I started feeling that pull back toward work.

Re-entering the job market in my fifties wasn’t easy, and finding a role that fit with family life was tougher than I expected. What felt like a detour at first turned out to be the spark I needed. That’s when the idea of starting something of my own took shape, something creative, meaningful, and personal.
